Ath, I saw the video in the video store just the other day and thought I should watch it again. It has been years since I last saw it. It will have new meaning, I am sure, this time around.
The mass of people so lost and yet so determinedly wandering after a shepherd who is so clearly to a few of us an internal mediator is (now) unspeakably sad.
We work with what we have; so we shall pray for our new leader and work where we can.
"All power in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age."

Zhivago is, IMO, a parable for us today.
