The Holy Father has announced an ‘Exposition of the Shroud’ in 2010. [h/t: New Advent] As the PBS documentary Secrets of the Dead – Shroud of Christ? detailed, the textile evidence is looking more and more conclusive that the Shroud (b) does indeed date to the 1st century A.D., and (b) the carbon dating applied to the most touched and contaminated corner of the cloth was flawed.
