Purists be darned. Enjoy Harry Belafonte in Mary’s Boy Child whilst you prepare for Christmas (we're close to Gaudete Sunday, after all).

A line in the song that struck me,

"and man will live for evermore because of Christmas day."

First thought I had if people really heard what is being said, but of course we don't do that, was that if it were not for the event of Christmas, man would NOT live for evermore.

Let the all PC folks go nutz over that!
